You can refer friends, family, and colleagues to open Zerodha accounts and earn 300 reward points for each successful referral, plus 10% of the brokerage they generate once they start trading.
In August 2024, NSE issued a circular that restricted brokerage sharing through referral programmes. As a result, Zerodha paused the brokerage-sharing component of the referral programme. The 300 reward points continued to be credited throughout this period. Brokerage sharing resumed on 1st June 2026. Payouts of referral earnings will start from 1st August 2026.
How to refer someone to Zerodha
You can refer through the Kite app, Console, or a referral link.
Kite app
- Tap on your Client ID.
- Tap on Invite friends.
- Tap on Share.
Referral link
- Visit zerodha.com/refer.
- Enter your user ID.
- Share the affiliate link on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
Once you register a referral, your referred person must open an account within 60 days.
If your referred person has already registered on the Zerodha website by entering their contact details and then uses your referral link to complete the account opening, the referral mapping will not be applied. To check whether a referral is already registered, go to console.zerodha.com/refer for instant confirmation.
For example, if someone visits zerodha.com and registers on 1st September but does not complete the process, and then uses a referral link on 2nd September, the referral mapping will not be applied.
