I received an SMS from CDSL informing that there is a debit of Treasury bills from my demat account. I don't remember redeeming them?

CDSL sends a message whenever there is a debit of shares/mutual fund/Gsec holdings from your demat account whenever you sell them from your account using Kite/Coin.

However, on the maturity date of the Treasury Bill, the units are automatically debited from your demat account and the maturity amount is transferred to the bank account linked with your Zerodha demat account.

Below is the message you will receive on maturity of the T-Bills:

CDSL: DEBITED IN A/C *xxxxxxxx 100 TREASURE BILL OF GOVERNMENT OF INDIA TOWARDS REDEMPTION ON 18/01/2019. CONTACT YOUR DP FOR MORE INFORMATION

You can check the primary bank account linked to your demat account on Console>> Profile>> Bank.

You can also verify the same using your holding statement. The entries in your statement will be similar to the following images -

Note: If the maturity date is a holiday, the amount will be credited a day before the maturity date.
