Your Good Till Triggered (GTT) order is triggered when a stock price hits or crosses the trigger price based on the ticks recorded or displayed live on the system. There are hundreds of transactions per second on the exchange, and each transaction is represented by a tick. If the system does not capture the tick, your GTT may not trigger and can remain pending until the stock price reaches the trigger price again.
Example scenario
Assume the price of XYZ Ltd is ₹102, and you placed the GTT trigger at ₹100.
The stock momentarily reached the trigger price of ₹100, and the system did not record the tick. Your GTT may not trigger.
