You can change your nationality on your Zerodha account by submitting specific documents and paying a modification charge of ₹25 + 18% GST. Your nationality will be updated within 72 working hours after we receive your documents.
Documents you need to submit
You must courier the following documents to Zerodha:
- Account modification and KYC form (PDF).
- Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) declaration form (PDF) with your Tax Identification Number (TIN), if applicable.
- Self-attested copy of your Indian address proof.
- Self-attested copy of your PAN.
- Self-attested copy of your passport.
- Self-attested copy of your OCI card.
Follow the signature guidelines (PDF) and refer to the sample copy (PDF) when signing all forms.

Did you know? Changing the nationality does not convert a resident account to an NRI account. However, you can also convert your resident account to an NRI account.
