I received an email asking me to provide 6 Mandatory KYC details and update my income range for my trading and demat account. How do I update these?

You will receive these emails from the exchanges or depositories if you haven't updated your latest income range for your Zerodha account.

Your account will be marked dormant or inactive if you have not updated your income range in the last 12 months. You can update your latest income slab by visiting the Re-KYC page on our website. The steps are illustrated below:

1. Login with your Kite login credentials

2. Once you log in, you will see your existing KYC details(Contact details, address, etc.). If there aren't any changes, then you can click on 'Proceed with the same details`. If any changes are required to your account details, e.g. change in address, error in name, etc., you can choose to update the details as per your Aadhaar. For this, you will be redirected to the Digilocker page to fetch your Aadhaar details.

3. It will direct you to the FATCA page, where you need to enter your tax residency, income slab, and personal details.

4. Webcam IPV- You will be required to do a quick in-person verification through your webcam(Computer) or front camera(Mobile). The page will take a small video.

This will complete the process of updating your KYC. Our team will validate the details entered, and the IPV captured. We will update your account details within 48 working hours.

Note: If you are updating your address or other details as per the Income Tax Department using this procedure, you will be required to esign at the end of this process. You will need to have your Aadhaar linked to a mobile number.
